SOLARCYCLE® Opens Global Headquarters in Mesa, Arizona to Expand Advanced Solar Recycling Capacity and Research Lab

2/1/2024

Mesa, Arizona (February 1, 2024) — SOLARCYCLE®, a technology-based solar recycling company, will create more than 100 local jobs through its new, state-of-the-art headquarters in Mesa, Arizona. The HQ is also equipped with a research lab that will deploy a team of scientists and engineers to advance the company’s proprietary, high-recovery recycling technologies.

The Mesa facility will initially recycle 250,000 solar panels each year, and ramp to one million panels per year in de-manufacturing capacity as it meets a growing market demand in the solar industry for its recycling and circular supply chain services.

The company plans to hire a suite of roles in Mesa to meet these goals, including in production, engineering, operations, IT, finance, sales and marketing, and management. Individuals interested in careers with SOLARCYCLE should visit the company’s career page.

SOLARCYCLE’s proprietary technology allows for the extraction of 95% of the value from recycled panels, including silver, silicon, copper, aluminum, and glass from recycled panels. The company sells these increasingly higher-purity materials back to the domestic supply chain. SOLARCYCLE will use the new Mesa-based research and design (R&D) lab to advance the material refinement process to reach zero-waste and obtain the most value out of decommissioned panels.

SOLARCYCLE, in its second year of operation, has grown its infrastructure footprint nationally through high-volume contracts with industry leaders such as AES, EDF Renewables North America, EDP Renewables North America, Greenbacker, Ørsted, Silicon Ranch, and Sunrun. The company’s first facility opened in 2022 in Odessa, Texas.

SOLARCYCLE ensures that their advanced recycling process is safe and that their operations protect workers, the community, and the broader environment. The company works within a stringent set of systems, developed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), and is actively certified under ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 to recycle and process materials and minerals from solar panels.

SOLARCYCLE plans to announce additional facilities across the United States in 2024.

About SOLARCYCLE

SOLARCYCLE is a technology-driven platform designed to maximize solar sustainability by offering solar asset owners a low-cost, eco-friendly, comprehensive process for recycling retiring solar panels and technologies and repurposing them for new uses. The company’s proprietary technology allows it to extract 95% of the value of a solar panel’s materials, such as silver, silicon, copper and aluminum, and to recycle or repurpose panels for new uses. Experts in solar technology, recycling and sustainability founded SOLARCYCLE in 2022 to accelerate the circular economy for solar and renewables. www.SOLARCYCLE.us.
