SOLARCYCLE Strengthens Leadership Team with First Chief Financial Officer Hire

3/21/2024

Mesa, Arizona (March 21, 2024) — SOLARCYCLE®, a technology-based solar recycling company, today announced the hiring of Cody Mueller as the company’s first Chief Financial Officer. The hiring follows SOLARCYCLE’s recent announcements about expanded operations, including a new headquarters and R&D lab in Arizona and a $344M glass facility in Georgia that will produce ultra-low carbon domestic glass for US-made solar panels.

Before joining SOLARCYCLE, Mueller served as Senior Vice President of Finance and Investor Relations at Array Technologies, where he helped ready the company for the second largest renewable energy IPO in U.S. history with a $4 billion market cap. Prior to Array Technologies, Mueller was with Benchmark Electronics, DriveTime Automotive Group, and Honeywell.

“Cody’s addition to our talented executive team couldn’t come at a better time,” said Suvi Sharma, CEO and co-founder of SOLARCYCLE. “We started SOLARCYCLE to fill a gap in the solar market for recycling services and ensure those materials are reused to make new solar panels in America. Cody brings the experience and expertise that will allow us to continue to rapidly and sustainably scale our infrastructure and build a circular economy in America.”

“I am thrilled to join the executive team at SOLARCYCLE, an innovative company providing a critical solution to help drive the transition to clean energy,” said Cody Mueller, CFO of SOLARCYCLE. “In just two years, SOLARCYCLE has proven that their business model works. They have already brought a significant market share of the US solar industry on board as customers and have a high caliber of existing investors, advanced technology, and patents on their side. I am excited to support their next stage of growth as a company.”

Since its launch in 2022, SOLARCYCLE has raised $37M and assembled a world-class management team with experience scaling companies and organizations such as Amazon, Nextracker, Sierra Club, Solaria, and SunPower. The company has secured high-volume contracts with industry leaders such as AES, EDF Renewables North America, EDP Renewables North America, Greenbacker, Ørsted, Silfab, Silicon Ranch, and Sunrun.
